A ran Makita's X2 tools for a while and they were kind of a pain in the ass. I've also used a battery chainsaws for a few years now, and if you're looking to do a solid days worth of work you need about 4-5 batteries. So I'd need 8-10 with this saw. The super charger doesn't work with solar or a truck inverter, so if you're out in the field charging isn't an option. Would have preferred them just doing a higher voltage platform for their OPE, this shoe horning 18v tools for outdoor power is ridiculous. You need the Forge batteries for this thing to run right anyways so what's the point? I'm going to need a whole bunch of new batteries regardless.

Oh, I run a 20 inch bar on my 61 cc saw, but 18 on my 50 cc. They are both VersaCut Oregon laminated bars, and they rock. Save weight too. Most people don't need anything over 18-20 inches, for typical homeowner, or ranch and storm cleanup, etc.

Hey Mark Thomas! That fellow delivered a good demonstration of the new saw. It is very expensive as a Kit, and I wonder what the weight of it is? I like the VS trigger, and selectable ‘power,’ as well as onboard scrench storage. I still don’t see someone taking this out in the woods, on a daily basis, or even on an all day job back in the woods? Sure, compare it to a 70cc saw, but I don't even have a 70 cc saw. I have a 61 cc though, and I don't take that out in the woods, maybe on the perimeter on occasion. The ‘Duel’ didn't seem right? It looked like the gas saw here was spewing finer chips, which would make it cut slower. And if that was a MS460 ( I’m guessing ) or similar, it should have done better. Not taking away from this, but it does require two batteries, and that is something that a lot of guys/ gals don’t care for. At least it looks serious, and looks to have a decent bar, and the dual bucking spikes is a nice touch. Looking forward to your review on this Mark. They should give You a saw ( You hear me Milwaukee? ) for all the publicity and promo You give them! 😊 Take care 👍

My Made in China well built heavy duty floor jack I bought in the 80s just crapped out. It was $55 then, which adjusted for inflation is about the same as the $179 Daytona jack (when it's on sale). If I could find a rebuild kit for it I'd give it a try. Such a waste to toss a perfectly good jack when an o ring fails. But if I can't rebuild it, I'll consider a Daytona. If it's as good as my old jack, it'll last longer than me.

It seems as if the track guide makes more sense than the edge guide, if you have the track. I always put the vacuum to me and not in back as the hose can snag and move the router. Thanks for the Norm vid, where he uses all those antiques 🤣. I never missed his show. That chestnut table was just featured in the tribute to his friend and producer that just passed away. He was a BTV powerhouse. The entire show series was filmed at his house, not Norm's.

Interesting... Yes, I plan to use the track guide quite a bit, but will put an extended fence on the edge guide.
